Women who are considering undergoing a cosmetic plastic surgery procedure such as breast augmentation must take various factors into account prior to surgery. Some of these include breast implant type, incision location, implant placement, and most importantly, the plastic surgeon. Many patients have found that the more informed they are regarding the procedure and their physician, they better outcome they achieve.

Recently, former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland opened up about her own breast enlargement procedure. In an article, she states that she waited 10 years before undergoing the procedure; during that time, she researched and met with surgeons in order to determine if the surgery was right for her. Now that she has publicly addressed her breast surgery, she encourages others to carefully consider their options and do their homework before choosing a breast implant surgeon. Typically, it is in the patient’s best interest to learn of the doctor’s education, training, credentials, and experience in the particular procedure. When a patient feels at ease and confident with her surgeon, results can be much more satisfying.
